Pimeä puoli perustuu kauhun mestarin Stephen Kingin samannimiseen kirjaan. Se on vertahyytävä kertomus kirjailija Thad Beaumontista, joka kirjoittaa raakoja tarinoita nimimerkillä George Stark.
